Charlotte First Ward
Charlotte announced this week their plans to build a community center near the Imaginon's Library and UNC Charlotte. Completion is said to take as many as 15 years, but will open by the end of 2015.
Developer Daniel Levine adds it to Charlotte's 2020 vision of the city, where they hope to have a "major urban park in each of uptown’s four wards." -Charlotteobserver.com
Hotels, office space, apartments, and shops are just the beginning for the dreams Levine has for the area. With more jobs coming to Charlotte like Sealed Air Corp with 1,300 jobs and AvidXchange with 600 jobs, it's great to see more residential properties and shops opening up near uptown.
